Home Made soap

For a very long time now I've been battling the tick problem. I do not frontline my dogs as I do not believe in slowly poisoning my dogs. Plus, frontline does not work on my dog anymore. I still find ticks on him and it's frustrating! I have in the past used frontline with my previous dogs. The decision to stop using frontline, IT DOESN'T WORK ON MY DOGS! Maybe these ticks my dogs pick up are super ticks that are immune to frontline or they've grown so immune with the medicine. In any case, I started using a holistic product call Bio X debug. It works but slower. It's a spray bottle that I spray on my two little ones before I take them for walks.

Recently, I decided to treat my niece to soap making class. This got me thinking. I could make soap for my dogs with the necessary essential oils to prevent ticks. So yesterday I made their soap which by the way is also natural. I already had the essential oils in my home. I added it into the soap and today washed my dogs with it! It smelled great, their furs are much softer and on drying my male dog, the ticks died! Great! Who knows this could progress!!

Cat and Gerbil Shoot

On a public holiday, I was working. While the new Sultan was being coronated, I was shooting 3 cats and a gerbil. Now, I've never shot cats before and this was my first ever cat shoot. They really are independent animals! They dictated when they want to be shot, when they will sleep and when they are ready to have their photos taken. Wow, very diva behaviour but I had fun shooting them. Anyway while I was waiting for the princesses and 1 prince to get ready for their photo opportunity, I had great fun shooting a gerbil! He was a perfect subject. He stood still, posed for me and looked really pretty in a pink bow. I know it's a HE but honestly he looked adorable in that pink bow!

Finally one of the cats was ready for her photo to be taken. Here's the result!

These are just two of the photos that I took on that day.

I am currently doing a promotional price of RM150 for pet photography till the end of April. It makes a great keepsake of your pets. You will get all the photos taken plus one photo beautifully packaged in a two fold cover. I can be reached on 012 302 7658. The shoots can either be at home or outdoors.

Photo Shoot

On Saturday, I had a last minute doggy shoot. I looked at the clouds and prayed that the skies would not open up and bless us with a shower. Besides being therapist, I am also a photographer. There were three little dogs, very young and very energetic. Thankfully, my friend brought her maid to help out. No sooner did we turn our heads, one was off running the other direction! So there was the maid who was chasing after one dog, another got lose and off goes the owner in the other direction for the other dog! But all ended up well. After requesting that the dogs be taken for a VERY long walk to tire them out, it was time for their photography session. It wasn't as easy as sit, stay and click. They could not sit still. So as a photographer, my job is to be patient, clear instruction to the owner and the dogs and be ready to click the camera! The result, a beautiful shot of the three little ones below.
