Vain dogs

Have you got a dog that walks past the mirror, stops and looks at him or herself? Well I have.  At first I thought that this is a coincidence. He's never seen himself in the mirror before. Than I started noticing that everytime he walked past the mirror he would physically stop and look at himself at the mirror and not in a quick glance way but actually stop, look and admire himself!! I've never seen such a sight!! It was pretty amusing and still is today. My westie is 6 years old this year and every time he passes the mirror he makes it a point to look at himself. It doesn't help when my husband keeps telling him 'handsome boy' and you know what, he knows he is!! :D Here's a photo of him looking at himself at the mirror. He is a little bit scruffy. He is due for a cut soon!

Aren't I handsome!!

Animal communication

It is quite secure at the centre. Here at the opening of my centre a few weeks back,  a customer's dogs.
It has been a while since I've blogged here. I do apologize. I have been busy setting up my holistic centre which is now currently up and open. In fact it is open today from 10-2.30pm. Today is the 10th November 2012. Can you believe it? It's already November and soon it will be 2013. So what does the centre have? I am going to announce a once a month on a weekend coffee and cakes weekend with the canines for a minimal fee. This way your canines get to socialize and you get a cuppa while in the safety of the centre.

The second announcement. The centre will be holding a sound healing workshop named "Soul Revival" on December 16. Come and experience the healing through voice on yourselves. The time will probably be in the morning so keep that date free! It will be an invigorating experience.

So what actually is happydogz holistic centre? It is a healing centre for pets and humans. When one person heals so does the other. For pet owners know, whether they are aware or not, when you aren't well, it is your pets that stay close to you. When you are down, it is your pets that cheer you up and take you sadness. So, it goes without saying that you owe it to yourself to heal yourself so as your pets heal you, you can also heal your pets.
My two little ones enjoying the sun at the centre.

Also provided in the centre is pet photography which entails pets and their owners.

Photo Shoot

On Saturday, I had a last minute doggy shoot. I looked at the clouds and prayed that the skies would not open up and bless us with a shower. Besides being therapist, I am also a photographer. There were three little dogs, very young and very energetic. Thankfully, my friend brought her maid to help out. No sooner did we turn our heads, one was off running the other direction! So there was the maid who was chasing after one dog, another got lose and off goes the owner in the other direction for the other dog! But all ended up well. After requesting that the dogs be taken for a VERY long walk to tire them out, it was time for their photography session. It wasn't as easy as sit, stay and click. They could not sit still. So as a photographer, my job is to be patient, clear instruction to the owner and the dogs and be ready to click the camera! The result, a beautiful shot of the three little ones below.
